The entire was tour was amazing.

This was the second tour we booked from discoverdorset. First was for Durdle Door and second one is this.

Driver himself is a very good guide, very good communicator. He explained everything about different places.

It was a nice experience with the discoverdorset.

The tour of Oxford with Richard and Jerry was absobloodylutely fantastic.

Richard took us through the most interesting places in Oxford. After we had started at the former industrial worker's accommodation, went on to the castle that nowadays became a hotel. We passed the big crossroad (I can't remember the name) and went on until we stopped at the monument with the three priests. From this point of the tour it was accompanied by a tale of Bloody Mary. Steve showed us the place where she burnt the three priests from the monument and told us a summary of Bloody Mary's history. It was very impressive.

Then we went on to see some of the famous colleges in Oxford and during the whole tour Richard gave us background information about the buildings, their architects, their history, their function, when they were built and so on. He told us lots of interesting things about Oxford what made the tour lively and gave us the opportunity to identify with the city.

In the afternoon we had some time for ourselves what I really appreciate because it gives the costumer the chance to decide what he wants to see. Richard gave us lots of tips what we could do in our leisure time in the afternoon so it kept us entertained. This time I thought there was not enough time to visit all the things we wanted to see. But I assume there is no other possibility because of the long home journey.

I also would like to mention the good relationship between our two guides who got on very well with each other. So the atmosphere was very nice and friendly. I also really appreciate that your staff remember their customers if they appear again on another trip and that the guides call the travellers by their names. It makes the atmosphere very amicably. Another huge benefit is that your groups are not bigger than 16 people.

I really enjoyed the tour to Stonehenge, Salisbury and New Forest. It was very good that we've got enough time to visit the things properly. Steve gave us some additional information about Stonehenge, which gave us a bit of a background/an idea of the history of the stones. In Salisbury Steve showed the way to Salisbury Cathedral which was very impressive. At every time was clear, where and when the pick up point was. In the afternoon we had some time to explore Salisbury on our own, so we visited the market which Steve mentioned before. We took the way back home through the New Forest, met the ponies and went deer "hunting". In my opinion Steve is a very experienced guide and he knows the areas and their backgrounds. I'm happy to recommend the trip to the students.

Joanna here, my friend and I went on the Discover Dorset Jurassic Coast tour last Tues. Thank you for a very enjoyable day out to the coast! Steve was really competent and a very willing driver all over the remote locations on the coast.

Gerry the tour guide was the best thing on our tour - we loved him for his patience (especially with our two year old daughter on board), his whacky sense of humour and the care and loving attention he gave each one of us which made us feel so much welcome and at home. What touched us a lot was his love for the profession - he was not a stickler for time (most tour guides are) and yet, he lived up to the time by managing everything so well as per the itinerary and giving us our breathing space.
