You must be knowledgeable of the areas covered, have impeccable customer service skills and be highly professional. The fundamental principle is to give all our customers a fun and interesting day out. You are on your own with your tour group for the day and you are responsible for their safety and comfort, you must therefore be responsible, flexible and be able to use your initiative to ensure all our customers’ needs are met. Whilst the tours follow an itinerary with predefined stops, you should be able to adapt the tour on the day depending on what you see, the weather and the individuals on the tour. A D/D1 PCV / PSV licence is required. Full guide training will be given. Ambassadors (PCV) - Bournemouth Airport ShuttlePart Time / Full Time - PermanentDiscover Dorset Ltd has been awarded the contract to run the new public transport link between Bournemouth Airport and Bournemouth. The new service, starting in November, will be so much more than just another bus service. Using a brand new Optare Versa, the link will operate 12 hours a day, 362 days a year. We are looking for bright, friendly individuals who have plenty of local knowledge and above all a great deal of enthusiasm for the local area. In addition to excellent professional driving and customer service skills, you will welcome inbound passengers to the region, giving them orientation and other local information. Discover Dorset rates of pay are competitive, there are no split shifts and there may be also opportunities to deliver some of the Discover Dorset Tours’ Day Tour programme at times.
