  • Hear how the stone industry shaped Swanage and gave it the name Little London by the Sea.
  • Drive through the Purbeck Hills.
  • Arriving in Durlston Country Park, after a half hour cliff top walk, taking in Anvil Point Lighthouse, stop at the award winning Lookout Café, maybe to sample some Dorset Apple Cake.
The spectacular ruins of Corfe Castle

  • Take lunch in the village of Corfe Castle dominated by the ruin that gives it its name. Entrance to the castle itself is extra but can be purchased at a reduced rate from your guide on the day for £4/£2, (free for NT members).
Visit the remote Kimmeridge Bay

  • After lunch drive through the most rural parts of the Isle of Purbeck to Kimmeridge Bay, hunt fossils on the beach and sealife in its extensive rock pools.

  • Visit Lulworth Cove and Stair Hole with its famous crumple.
  • Look across to St Oswalds Bay with the imposing Man o’ War rocks before finally we visit the magnificent arch of Durdle Door etched from the limestone by the action of countless waves.
